Barrett Cole
Editor in Chief

Barrett Cole is a third-year law student from Dallas, TX. Before embarking on her law journey, she spent three years contributing to developing education and workforce policies in the Dallas region. As an undergrad, Barrett took on the challenge of serving as Student Body President and Vice President for 40,000 students and even serving a year with Americorps.

Barrett completed her undergraduate studies in information science and later pursued a master's degree in data analytics from the University of North Texas. The journey to law school saw her shift gears and dive into the intellectual property law sector. She gained hands-on experience working for Finnegan, an American-based intellectual property firm in London, during her 2L summer. Before this, Barrett spent her 1L summer as a research and teaching assistant.

In her 2L year, Barrett was immersed in London's cultural and academic life, juggling her studies with work at two intellectual property firms and collaborative research with three faculty members. Her research focused on deep seabed mining, state and digital sovereignty, and banking regulations.
