Symposium

Each year, the Notre Dame Journal of International & Comparative Law hosts a symposium that brings together scholars from across the United States and beyond. Usually held in February at Notre Dame Law School, the symposium provides a setting for intellectual engagement and an opportunity to grapple with pressing legal issues related to the fields of international and comparative law. Traditionally, each participant will publish an article in the first issue of the Journal’s subsequent volume (e.g., a pannelist from the Volume 10 symposium will produce an article for Volume 11, Issue 1). The event is thematic in nature and focuses on a broad topic, which varies from one year to the next. Past topics include “International Law and Economics,” “Terrorism After Bin Laden,” and “Asylum and Refugee Law.”
